Do you have kids between the ages of 8-10 years old that want to go diving but they’re just not old enough? The PADI Bubble Maker Program is a great way to introduce children to scuba diving in a pool in less than 2m/6ft of water. Sessions typically last for an hour and it’s a great why for youngsters to join in the family fun of scuba diving in a shallow, safe environment under the supervision of a PADI Instructor
Your child will do the first scuba dive experience with one of Roatan’s best dive shops, Subway Watersports, a PADI 5* Resort and Instructor Development Center.
Children must be comfortable in water but they do not need to be super swimmers. All kids 8 years or older can participate in this experience. A parent must be present at the start of the excursion to sign the liability releases
Kids will learn:
- Experience what scuba diving is like under the direct care and supervision of PADI Instructors
- Take their first breath underwater
- Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children – not adults
Please read the medical questionnaire which you can download here, before booking this excursion for your kid! If any answers are “Yes” you will need to bring a medical certificate from your doctor stating that your child is fit to dive.
Price:
The Bubble Maker experience costs $100 per child and includes equipment and transportation from/to the cruise ship terminal as well as a super cool Bubblemaker crewpak.
This crewpak gives kids a memento of their visit to the underwater world and is full of fun surprises, including: a kid-sized beach towel, log book, certificate, temporary tattoo, emblem and the adorable and a popular Bubblemaker “action figure”. Adults love them, too!
