Elizabeth Unkrur, USA
Hobbies: Liz loves diving, snorkelling, and just being in, on, or near the water in general. She also highly enjoys meeting and interacting with new and interesting people. She haves been sailing since she was in middle school. She haves completed a course certification on a J22 one design sailboat. She also did a 28 day live-aboard on a moorings 42 ft Catamaran in the British Virgin Islands last summer.

Nellie is currently finishing her law degree at the University of Iowa and will take the bar exam at the end of July and will begin her career as an attorney in Chicago in September. Nellie has studied and practiced Buddhism and T’ai Chi throughout her life and has found that the experience of scuba is close in form to these pursuits. She has taught English in rural Thailand, worked at a human rights NGO in New Delhi, India for a summer, and has been all over southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. Hobbies: Nellie enjoys skydiving and has recently completed her first marathon in October. She is an avid hiker and mountain climber. She was a lifeguard at a swimming pool for two summers in high school and also worked as a lifeguard at a lake for an additional summer.

Charlotte Emily Cook, England
Charlotte has spent 8 weeks at a shark research facility in the Bahamas last summer, which meant she was in the water conducting research or snorkelling everyday. Through this she gained hands-on experience with many species of shark including tigers and bull sharks. Hobbies: Charlotte was Captain of her University rugby team, which provided her with a lot of responsibility as well as working well under pressure whilst motivating her team. She also loves to surf and body board when she get a chance to and spend many hours outdoors.

Stephen Laczko USA
Hobbies: Stephen loves everything about the ocean: surfing, snorkelling, sailing and SCUBA diving. He has travelled to Costa Rica, Mexico, Greece, Hawaii, and Italy learning about the different cultures and admiring the myriad of natural beauties. Stephen rows on the varsity crew team at is college, he surfs every weekend and cycles during the week.

Hobbies: Trevor loves playing guitar, snorkelling and exploring in rocky caverns and outcrops. He is swift water rescue and swift water technician certified internationally and has worked as a raft guide for almost 2 years.

Hannah wants to dive as a career. She is looking forward to the diving, and hopefully getting to see peoples faces as they experience diving in the ocean for the first time. She remember what it was like for her and wants to see other people enjoy the same thing that she loves. Hobbies: Hannah's hobbies include painting, and pretty much anything outdoors. She travelled through Europe for 5 weeks by herself. She is a water bum and likes swimming and free diving. Her next goal is to learn how to surf. Diving experience: Hannah will be doing her Advanced and Rescue course before coming to Roatan.

Caryl has worked as cashier and with the library and housing services at her university where she is studying to become a chemical engineer. She is looking to do research in the future on marine biotechnology. She planes to be involved with field work and actually dive to collect research samples for chemical and biotech processes. Hobbies: Caryl loves travelling and exploring, especially tropical places. She has traveled to the Philippines, to Europe and visited several cities in Italy, France, Croatia, Monaco, and Spain. Within the Caribbean she has been to Aruba, Jamaica, Cozumel, Cancun, Riviera Maya, BVI, Grand Cayman, Dominican Republic, Florida/Keys, and the Bahamas. She has dived in many of these places. Warren
used to be
in the military. He is hoping the internship might result in a career change
or at least a bit of a lifestyle change. He wants do do his Instructor after
getting his DM. Hobbies: Warren is an active person. He rock climbs, weight trains, rides motorcycles and goes on canoe/kayak trips at least once a year. He has travelled to Spanish speaking countries on various occasions. He has ridden his motorcycle from Ottawa through Central America and down to Chile in a seven month time period.

Imogen
first heard about diving in Honduras when she worked for Coral Cay
Conservation and ever since then she has wanted to go to Honduras and
continue her dive qualifications. She is really keen to become a dive
master and hopefully an assistant instructor as well before going back
to London to start a Masters in Social Work. Hobbies: Travelling and diving are two passions of Imogen's and she really wants to continue to experience them. Monty has always wanted to complete his divemaster training since he completed his rescue diver program in the Caribbean islands a few years ago. He is also interested in learning more about the eco-tourism industry and hopes that he can pursue other opportunities to learn more about it with a divemaster certification. Cliff is most excited about obtaining his Divemaster certification, it has been a goal of his for a very long time, and now that he has a year off from school he is going to make the most of this opportunity. He is very familiar with the marine species of the Caribbean because he studied marine biology in Turks & Caicos as well as the ecological issues of the area. He is interested in fish and fishery biology. He is very interested in underwater photography and looks forward to trying his hand at it once again. Cliff worked two summers as a lifeguard. He was a sailing and cabin counsellor at an overnight camp, and he has experience driving motorboats. He was a part of the student crew on the SSV Korwith Kramer, a research vessel that conducts oceanographic research in the Gulf of Maine.

Alyssa Fitzpatrick, USA
Alyssa spent three and a half months last fall in the Turks and Caicos and fell in love with the Caribbean. Since then, she has been trying to find a way to return to this area and explore the underwater world and to further her diving abilities! Hobbies: Alyssa's biggest hobby is flying. She earned her private pilot’s licence a year and a half ago and is working towards her instrument rating and eventually her commercial license. Her other hobbies include ice hockey, rugby and, obviously, SCUBA diving.

As a self described “computer geek” he has been helpful to others in remote locations with Internet calling, CD’s of photos, and other techy stuff. Wile we put him to use in the Scuba industry, perhaps he will give up his alter ego role of an IT Consultant. His goal in Roatan is to complete his Divemaster and Assistant Instructor. David Adams, New Zealand David is currently working at a summer camp in New Zealand teaching children aged between 7 and 15 how to snorkel, obviously doing the Dive Master would be the next ideal step to take. Ever since David did his first dive he knew that he wanted to progress as much as he could. He is really interested in working in the dive industry and wants to learn as much about the dive industry as possible. David is constantly travel around the globe and feels that doing the Dive Master would both aid with his adventures and future employment.
