Accommodations

the award winning architectural firm of Fentress Bradburn Architects designed the villas. Each has a view to gardens. Most have views to the sea. Each villa is individually decorated. Each features vaulted ceilings. large windows. modern appliances and large decks with hammocks. The friendly maids clean your home every day and insure you have clean linens, beautiful flowers and fresh fruit in baskets.

Every home has a great room with living and dining areas. The well-equipped kitchens feature full-sized refrigerators, gas ranges and large microwave ovens. The counter/bar is a focal point of any gathering. Large louvered hardwood doors in the great room and bedrooms roll back to reveal tropical vistas of palm trees, exotic flowers and sea views. No matter which home you are in, a short walk through lush tropical gardens will lead you to the beach, pool or seaside restaurant.

Restaurants/Meals

If you don't want to do your own cooking you can eat at Palmetto Bay Plantation Restaurant. You will enjoy fresh lobster, shrimp, fish, pasta, meats, vegetables and salads. All food is prepared daily by the highly trained staff. Selected nights feature Mexican and French Cuisine. Saturday nights feature music by "Puro Sol" a world-class music event.

Amenities

White sand beach, beautiful gardens, nature preserve with hiking trails, bird sanctuary, swimming pool and deck, kayaks and sea cycle (pedal craft) private dock for swimming, horse back riding, massage and spa service, internet hook-up for laptop computers, international phone calls and of course our dive and Watersports center.

Palmetto Bay vacation rental villas

3 types of villas are available for rent. In the prices included is airport pick-up and drop-off, welcome orientation with beverage. 16% sales and tourism tax is not included.

The "Orchid" is a large duplex with a great room, kitchen, two bedrooms and one bathroom with a spectacular view of the sea. This home is suitable for one or two couples or a family of three or four.

The "Hibiscus" features a great room, kitchen and two or three bedrooms. The master bedroom has an adjoining bathroom. The other one or two bedrooms share a nearby bathroom. This home is suitable for one to three couples or a family of four or five.

The "Bougainvillea" is a spacious home with a great room, large kitchen and two master bedrooms, each with adjoining bathrooms. Or one master bedroom and 2 additional bedrooms sharing 1 additional bathroom. This home will accommodate one to three couples or a family of four or five.

Scuba Diving

We offer up to 3 dives daily. Enjoy the ultimate service; we will set up your equipment, change tanks, rinse and put away your gear in the evening. All you need to do is dive in small groups lead by an experienced PADI Divemaster. The dive boat leaves from the resorts private dock.

You don’t have to decide on how many dives you want to do in advance.  You can run a tab and at the end of your stay we add up your dives and charge according to the prices below.

1 - 4 dives $ 38 per dive/person
5 - 9 dives $ 32 per dive/person
10 - 14 dives $30 per dive/person
15 or more dives $28 per dive/person
Price includes tanks and weights.
